Brain Balance of Palm Beach Gardens is seeking a passionate, energetic, and organized Child Development Specialist & Assistant Program Director to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who loves working with children and families, enjoys leading and mentoring others, and is looking for a meaningful career beyond the traditional classroom or therapy setting.

This position is designed for individuals interested in growing into leadership roles within our organization. The Assistant Program Director will receive mentorship and hands-on experience in program management, staff development, family communication, and center operations while working directly alongside the Program Director and Executive Director.

This is not simply a coaching position. You will work directly alongside our Program Director and Executive Director to help oversee program delivery, support families, train and mentor staff, and contribute to the growth and success of our center.

What You'll Do:
  • Coach children through individualized cognitive, sensory, and physical activities as needed.
  • Assessments.
  • Build meaningful relationships with children and families.
  • Support program implementation and ensure a high-quality client experience.
  • Assist with staff training, coaching, and development.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Help oversee daily center operations.
  • Participate in family meetings and progress reviews.
  • Collaborate closely with the Program Director and Executive Director.
  • Serve as a leader within the center and help maintain a positive team culture.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Experience working with children required.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive, energetic, and professional demeanor.
  • Leadership experience preferred but not required.
  • Excellent with data entry.
  •  Proficient with technology and able to quickly learn new platforms.

Schedule:
  • 30 hours per week.
  • Monday: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM (7.5 paid hours).
  • Wednesday: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM (7.5 paid hours).
  • Thursday: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM (7.5 paid hours).
  • Tuesday OR Friday: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM (7.5 paid hours) ** will choose upon hiring.
  • *1 hour unpaid lunch break each day.

Compensation: $22–$25 per hour (based on experience)

Required Availability:
  • Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
  • Plus either Tuesday or Friday during the same hours.
